ALTIS is helping athletes accomplish their sport performance and fitness goals despite age, gender, physical limitations or performance level. Witness our client’s experiences and how even the smallest victories matter.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with the Altis team for many years. I’ve know Shayne for over
two decades and he has had a significant input in my athletic career as an Olympic medalist. Given
his background as an athlete, I’ve always valued his opinion and sort advice on and off the track.
The 2015-2016 season in particular made a huge impression on my belief in the Altis program. I
suffered from a knee injury, which stemmed from a previously injured torn gluteus medius,
resulting in a rough 2015 track season. With my 2016 Olympic quest in jeopardy, I spent all of my
pre-season working with the Altis team to ensure that I will be able to manage the workouts once
off season/official track practice resumed. The 2015-2016 season in particular made a huge

Olympian and professional for several years, I have come across many people in this sport
performance field. I can say without hesitation that Shayne is easily one of the best I’ve worked
with. He is a great motivator, communicator and demands respect without having to ask for it. Not
to mention, he has always been very respectful.

Cameron’s tennis game developed at a young age. She dominated her age group quickly and soon
started to play at higher levels. The challenge was to keep her game ahead of her age category and
she often tested her ability with matches against the hard hitting boys and females at the senior
level. Strength and conditioning was of paramount importance to prevent injury and enhance her
ability for higher level training and competition. Since being at ALTIS Performance her footwork,
coordination and strength has improved considerably and she has been able to persevere the rigours
from the physical skill sessions. The ability to train longer and harder has led to her
successfully representing Trinidad & Tobago at international events that saw her awarded the 2018
junior tennis player of the year.

Ethan spends a lot of time developing his tennis technique and as a junior started competing
against the men at an early age. The sport is played with high power and intensity by players on
the International Tennis Federation junior circuit. Strength and Conditioning training became
necessary for him to maintain form and keep up with the competition. The program at ALTIS
Performance resulted in obvious gains and enhancement. With power generation from both upper and
lower body Ethan was capable of competing in the under 16, under 18 and even men ranks despite
being slightly smaller. His competing ability grew often surprising his opponents with his smooth
footwork and powerful shot execution through agile movements. These improvements would not have
been possible if not for the sport performance training Ethan received at ALTIS.

As a past swimmer, now coach, I have always believed it takes a holistic team effort to foster,
groom and develop an all-rounded athlete. In order to cover the essential bases for my swimmers to
perform at a high level, at his/her major competition, it is imperative my athletes are injury
free, healthy and physically/mentally fit. To me, this is what ALTIS Performance provides. I am
able to say that the swimmers I have entrusted in their care to be assessed, evaluated and treated
for injury, muscle building, maintenance and recovery procedures have all resulted in favourable
outcomes. The professionalism, feedback and specialized service received have been beneficial
towards the success and continued improvement as an athlete for them. Even as a returning athlete
at the seasoned age of 32, I trusted the coaches at ALTIS to help me attain my goals of national
representation. With these hardworking, dedicated coaches and a scientifically proven well
designed program not to mention lots of motivation I was able to not only achieve the qualifying
standards to represent TTO at the CCCAN 2017 games but also mount the podium.
