Shayne Cooper

Founder and Head of Sport Performance

Prior to founding ALTIS Performance, Cooper served time in the sporting industry as an athlete, coach, clinician and technical director. As a member of the strength and conditioning and athletic development community; Cooper has been mentored by international coaches such as Orlando Ortega, Michael Johnson, Roger Kingdom and many more. After working as an assistant coach at U.S. collegiate institutions in the NAIA and NCAA ranks, Cooper returned to Trinidad and Tobago.

With possession of a Master of Science degree, Cooper decided to follow his passion for sport performance. Armed with the theoretical knowledge and a keen coaching eye, Cooper continues to build an effective coaching philosophy with experience as the main teacher. He truly believes that skill implementation over many hours and with many athletes will result in coaching evolution.

Cooper has rendered his services to the Trinidad and Tobago national sports teams under the SporTT- EDPU, the Barbados Tridents in the CPL (Cricket Premiere League) and the Under 19 and Women Senior Cricket Team within the CWI (Cricket West Indies) organization.

Ruel Rigsby

Head of Rehab

Intuitive. Innovative. Improvisational. Ruel Rigsby has provided clinical evaluation and rehabilitation services to various National and Professional sports teams in the United States and Trinidad and Tobago including the NFL Rams, Olympic Track athletes, NCAA Division 1: Tennis top 10 ranked athletes male and female, Soccer, Basketball; Trinidad and Tobago 50-overs and 4-day Cricket teams, National Women's Senior Football team, Cooperate Executives, Tactical, Developmental and Recreational athletes for over 15 years.

With a focus on musculoskeletal compensation strategies and pathologies, Ruel aims to provide protocols that create a clear and efficient pathways between rehabilitation and performance training. A Temple University alum, he has obtained a Master’s of Science degree with a focus on Sports medicine research and has been published and cited in peer reviewed journals and orthopedic medical-reference apps. For his time in Trinidad, Ruel hopes to allow clients to understand their pathologies, plan a course of action, connect and access the right healthcare needed to facilitate their optimal performance.

Qadir Shah

Sport Performance Coach

A former National Youth Cricketer, Qadir graduated from the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sport Studies with a specialization in Sport Management. Not easily satisfied, he also obtained the post-graduate professional certification in High Performance Strength and Conditioning affered at his Alma Mater UTT. Qadir has found a passion for sport performance training and athlete development is currently putting in his reps as a performance coach at ALTIS as he continues to develops and hone his coaching skills and evolve in the sport and fitness industry.

Mallia Chandree

Massage Therapist

After earning her certification as a registered Massage Therapist, Mallia travelled to London to improve her skills. In the past three years, Mallia was approved by the Federation of Holistic Therapist and became a certified medic from Pulse Medic in London. Passionate about helping people on their wellness journey, Mallia tries to educate the public on the importance of massage in this sedentary lifestyle. A former track and field athlete, Mallia was driven by her personal experiences of just how beneficial massages are and the many different modalities that massage has to offer. Mallia is also highly skilled in Swedish (soft tissue) massage, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, pre & post sports massage. Her approach to treatment involves encouraging the client to be an active participant, following taking a full assessment to identify any conditions so ailments and injuries can be effectively treated.

Rejan Chin

Rehabilitation Therapist

Réjan brings enthusiasm and exuberance to the ALTIS team. A graduate of Limestone College Chin gained her Bachelors in Science degree and completed the necessary protocol to be a Certified Athletic Trainer. Returning to her homeland Trinidad, she has continued to work among the best in the country to gain experience and improve the skills of her trade.

Adanna Smart

Manager of Operational Services

Commonly known as “Ady” to all, Ms. Smart possesses a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of the Southern Caribbean. Smart previously worked in the government ranks of the Service Commissions as an event coordinator and public relations officer. Smart brings these managerial and organizations skills to ALTIS Performance where she take charge of the daily activities and efficiency of the organization.
